Dear Parents and Guardians,

Students who have purchased a yearbook should drop by the cafeteria, learning commons or main office to pick up the spring insert that goes with the yearbook. Please find info below to assist you.

Report Cards

Families can view, download or print online report cards for students June 25 – July 31, 2026 through MyCBE. Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information.

Please note: After July 31, 2026, report cards will no longer be available to access in MyCBE.

More information and resources are available on CBE’s Assessment & Reporting website.

Teachers are working on finalizing marks and report card comments in the coming days, and as such, PowerSchool mark visibility has been turned off effective June 16. Report cards will be visible to families on June 25 at 4:00 PM through the PowerSchool app. Mark appeals days are June 26 and 29.

Are you graduating or leaving the CBE?

The CBE is reminding all students to save their files they wish to keep on a personal drive prior to June 26, 2026. It is especially important for students who are graduating or leaving the CBE to move all files over to personal storage because they will lose access to their CBE account after August 31, 2026, and their CBE email address and inbox will be deleted permanently.

Anyone who has applied to a post-secondary institution or scholarship with their CBE email address is encouraged to update their email contact information with the organization to which they have applied.

Textbooks, Novels & Graphing Calculators

Student accounts were charged for all textbooks, novels and other loaned materials on Thursday, June 4, 2026.  If your student is still using those materials, the fees will be removed from their account once they are returned to Ms. O’Bray, our Library Assistant and scanned back into the system.  Please do not pay the fee if your student is still in possession of and using those materials.  Students are responsible for ensuring the loaned materials are handed directly to Ms. O’Bray, and not left on tables, desks or in classrooms.  Please remind your student of this process. Students who are no longer using their textbooks, novels or other loaned materials from the school are welcome to return them now. Textbooks may also be returned on exam days prior to exams and must be returned no later than June 23, 2026.  Thank you.

School Fees

Parents, Guardians and Independent Students, please log into your MyCBE Account and ensure your fees are paid in full for the current and previous school years.  If your student’s account has been charged for textbooks, novels or graphing calculators, those fees will be removed from their account when the items have been returned to our Library Assistant and scanned back into the system.  Students are responsible for ensuring the items are handed directly to her for scanning, they are not to be handed to teachers or taken to the main office.  If the items are lost or damaged, payment can be made in your PowerSchool account.

Fee Refunds

If fee refunds are due to parents, guardians or independent students, they will receive an email from the Business Office when their cheque is ready to be picked up at the school.  Cheques will be issued to the person who made the payment in PowerSchool.

Please note, if your student still has materials they have not returned to the school, the refund cheque will be released when those items have been returned.  Please check your MyCBE fee account to see if your student has any outstanding items.  Thank you from the Business Office.

Lancers Athletics

Thank you to all of our amazing athletes, coaches, and parents for an outstanding year of athletics.  From our football teams first year as an independent team, to a wrestling provincial champion, a badminton city champion, a track and field provincial champion and multiple tournament wins across a variety of sports – it has been a great year for the Lancer Athletic program.

Reminder to all of our returning students that tryout information for the fall can be found on the online athletics calendar or Instagram!

Sincerely,
Carma Cornea
