Are you graduating or leaving the CBE?
The CBE is reminding all students to save their files they wish to keep on a personal drive prior to June 26, 2026. It is especially important for students who are graduating or leaving the CBE to move all files over to personal storage because they will lose access to their CBE account after August 31, 2026, and their CBE email address and inbox will be deleted permanently.
Anyone who has applied to a post-secondary institution or scholarship with their CBE email address is encouraged to update their email contact information with the organization to which they have applied.

Athletic Update
Our Track and Field athletes were at Provincials this weekend. Go Lancers! We will have more news to share next week. We want to thank all the students who came out to play for our Senior Boys rugby team. The boys had a tumultuous season, but for each game they put in an amazing effort and never gave up. Their camaraderie and teamwork were outstanding. We wish all of our Seniors they very best next year!
Thank you also to all of our Junior Boys. For a team where most of our players were learning the game for the first time, they did an amazing job, losing in the semi-finals by only two points. Their teamwork, enthusiasm, and spirit showed through in every game and practice. Thank you also to our teacher coaches Mr. Housley and Mr. McClure for your support of our teams! We’d like to thank our volunteer coaches and former students from Scarlett – coach Randy and Jesse! We’d also like to thank our volunteer coach and parent Brad McWilliam!
Our Girls Rugby team really stood out this year as they proceeding through the season! We unfortunately just came up a little short in the finals to proceed. Our girls played with talent, heart and never gave up! Congratulations to each of our girls on the team. Thank you to our teacher coaches Mr. Kay, Mr. Berry and also to Ms. Logan for your support!
Student Lockers
Student locker cleanout was held at the end of the day Thursday, June 4, 2026. If your student was absent that day, please remind them to empty the contents of their locker on Monday, June 8th or Tuesday, June 9th and leave the lock on the locker or a $10.50 replacement fee will be charged to their PowerSchool account. Locker contents not removed by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 will be removed and disposed of and/or donated to charity. Failure to remove locker contents may also incur a cleaning charge to the student’s PowerSchool fee account. Thank you from the Business Office.
Textbooks, Novels & Graphing Calculators
Student accounts were charged for all textbooks, novels and other loaned materials on Thursday, June 4, 2026. If your student is still using those materials, the fees will be removed from their account once they are returned to Ms. O’Bray, our Library Assistant and scanned back into the system. Please do not pay the fee if your student is still in possession of and using those materials. Students are responsible for ensuring the loaned materials are handed directly to Ms. O’Bray, and not left on tables, desks or in classrooms. Please remind your student of this process. Students who are no longer using their textbooks, novels or other loaned materials from the school are welcome to return them now. Textbooks may also be returned on exam days prior to exams and must be returned no later than June 23, 2026. Thank you.
School Fees
Parents, Guardians and Independent Students, please log into your MyCBE Account and ensure your fees are paid in full for the current and previous school years. If your student’s account has been charged for textbooks, novels or graphing calculators, those fees will be removed from their account when the items have been returned to our Library Assistant and scanned back into the system. Students are responsible for ensuring the items are handed directly to her for scanning, they are not to be handed to teachers or taken to the main office. If the items are lost or damaged, payment can be made in your PowerSchool account.
Picture ID for Exams
Picture ID is required by all students to enter their exam area. Replacement ID can be purchased at the Business Office at a cost of $5.00. Please remind your student Tuesday, June 9th at 12:00 noon is the deadline to have replacement Student ID cards printed as we are unable to print ID cards after that date. Please note the main office will not be printing information from PowerSchool if students do not have their picture ID.
Social 20-1 Field Trip
This last Wednesday, Social 20-1 students got to join the University of Calgary's Department of Anthropology and Archaeology for their annual excavations with the City of Calgary. Spending the day at Edworthy Park, students got a hands-on look at what archaeologists do, helping to excavate a pre-contact indigenous camp, as well as a historical brickmaking factory from the early 1910s. Many thanks to Dr. Lindsay Amundsen-Meyer and Bella Hernandez from the UofC for helping to organize, and to Brandon Many Bears to taking us through the park and teaching us the Indigenous history of the land before it was known as Calgary.
