Grade 12 Field Day
On Friday June 5 in periods 2, 3 and 4 there will be fun activities and a BBQ available for all grade 12 students.
Activities include yearbook signing, sidewalk chalk, face painting, lawn games, food trucks and more! Grade 12’s will get their wristbands and BBQ ticket in their Period 2 class on June 5.
If students have a Period 2 spare, they can pick up their wristband and ticket from the main office.
Athletic Update
Field Hockey
We are very proud of the girls Field Hockey team and their dedication this season. Their playoff game was a hard-fought battle, with the girls showing determination, teamwork, and great sportsmanship throughout the match, despite the 28-degree heat! We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Scarlett and cannot wait to see what next season will bring.
A special congratulations to our Grade 12 students, Bali G and Evangeline N, who will be representing Scarlett at the All-Star Game on June 4th. We are so proud of their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck! Thank you to our teacher coach Mariam A. Nour and our volunteer coaches Anita Massey, Lorrett Desormeau, Sarah Barr, Kirsten Nyrose, Kathryn Hennebury.
Boys Soccer
We are very proud of the senior boys soccer team and their efforts this season. Their quarterfinal game was a hard-fought battle played in very hot conditions. After two overtimes, the game remained tied and was ultimately decided in a shootout. Although the boys came up short, they showed tremendous heart, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the match and should be very proud of their performance.
Congratulations to Adam H., who will be representing Scarlett at the Selects Game on June 8th. We were proud to have him as our keeper this season and wish him the best of luck at the game! Thank you to our coaches teacher Karen Malone and volunteer coach Blake Edel for all of your work with the team this season!
June Final Exam Schedule
Our June Final Exam Schedule has been posted on our website and D2L pages. Please ensure you are reviewing this with your child. If students have two exams scheduled at the same time, they need to connect with Ms. Malayko to complete an exam conflict form. Administration will be going over exam expectations on Friday, May 29.
CBE Summer School
If you have not received an email notification regarding your summer school course by June 2, 2026, please check your junk/spam folder as well as your inbox. If you still can’t find information about your summer school enrollment, contact CBe-learn or Chinook Learning with the following information:
- Your name
- Your CBE ID Number
- Your current school
- The course you requested
- The location you requested (for in-person classes only)

Awards Night
We will be celebrating students for their academics and citizenship on June 2. Invites were handed out and the doors open at 5:15 PM. Light snacks and refreshments provided. The program commences at 6 pm. There are no tickets for this event.
Night of the Lancer
We will be celebrating Lancers Athletics at the Night of the Lancer on Wed, June 3 at 6:00 PM. Invites were handed out to all athletes who will be receiving awards, and tickets will need to be pre-purchased before May 29 in the PE office.

- YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange: There have been several withdrawals in the Calgary cohort, which means that students who apply in the next few days are now very likely to be placed in the exchange.
