Teachers have completed Term 3 report card marks and comments. These will be visible to families through MyCBE on Tuesday, April 14 at 4 PM.
CBE Summer School Registration opens on Monday, April 13
The registration link below will be activated on April 13 and will close on April 30
Summer School 2026 Course Request Form | Dr. E.P. Scarlett Students – Fill out form
- Limited course selections will be offered in person or online
- Students can only register for one course
- Notifications to families and students will happen the first week of June via School Messenger and will direct the parent/student to review their MyCBE to verify their approved registration
- No course changes or substitutions will be accepted once the form has been submitted
- Summer school runs for the month of July, and diploma exams will be in the first week of August
Online CALM
If you are interested in taking CALM online this summer, there is a mandatory consent form that needs to be signed and returned as soon as possible. Please access Form | Parent Notification Opt in Consent CALM Dependent Student. You will need to print and sign the form and return it to the Student Services Centre before enrollment in the course.
E. P. Scarlett Theatre is proud to present “LIFE IS A CIRCUS: A Festival of One Act Plays”
This semester, our theatre students have been working hard to produce 12 student-written, student-directed plays. These will be performed on two nights: “House of Cards” on April 20 and 22, and “House of Mirrors” on April 21 and 23. Shows are at 7:00 pm in the Scarlett Theatre. No tickets required. French Immersion Graduation and Bilingual Certificate Ceremony – Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM
The certificates will be presented to students who have successfully met the requirements of the Dr. E.P. Scarlett’ French Immersion Program as well as the Calgary Board of Education. The ceremony will take place in the main gym followed by light refreshments. We look forward to sharing this occasion with you, as it provides each of us with the opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of our students.
Athletic Update
Spring sports are underway! Our Girls and Boys Rugby, Field Hockey, Boys Soccer and Track & Field teams have been training and excited for their first games and meets coming up. If any of your students are a part of these teams, please be sure to check PowerSchool to pay any team fees. As always, please refer to our online athletics calendar for all athletics schedules.
Our badminton team will be competing in Divisionals next week. Good luck to all of our athletes! Go Lancers!!

June 2026 Exam Schedule
June 8 and 9 - Mega Block Days
- Students are expected to attend their classes and attendance will be taken
- Teachers will be utilizing this time for instruction, exam prep, and final assessments
June 10 and 11 – Scheduled Part A Diplomas for ELA and Social Studies, and some 10/20-level final exams
- Teachers who are not supervising exams are expected to be in their classroom providing instruction to students
- If students are not writing an exam, and their teacher is available, they are expected to be in class and attendance will be taken
- Students that have teachers supervising exams have been notified. The cafeteria will be open and available for independent assessment prep and attendance will be taken
June 12-23 – Exam Period
- Attendance is only required for scheduled exams
- Opportunities for credit rescue
- Teachers will post their tutorial schedule on D2L
June 24-26
- Intentional transition time for students

Sugar Shack
On Thursday afternoon April 9, all French immersion classes will be participating in a culture event La Cabane à Sucre. They will be able to enjoy a complementary bâton de tire d’érable (maple taffy) to the sound of traditional Cabane à Sucre music with their classmates.

Welcome to the 18 Japanese exchange students from Yokohama to Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School from April 10- April 24. Koharu, Tomoe, Yukine, Yamaguchi, Chiharu, Sana, Haruma, Yuta, Momoka, Namiri, Riku, Kaiji, Yohei, Aoi, Riku, Yuki, Haru, Kenshin will become family members to the Scarlett student hosts. Japanese Cultural Event:

Beyond deep breaths: Real conversations about mental health with your emerging adult
As teens grow into adulthood, mental health conversations need to go deeper than reminders to “just take a break.” This session helps parents navigate meaningful, practical discussions about emotional well-being, coping skills, and when to seek support. Learn how to foster open dialogue, encourage self-awareness, and empower your young adult to build lasting mental health habits for life.
Note: This is a free session for parents/caregivers of students at Scarlett, hosted by our parent society (Friends of Scarlett) and presented by the Imagine Institute for Learning.
