Report Cards

PowerSchool visibility will be turned off on January 22 to allow teachers to finalize marks and input report card comments. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher via email if you require an update on their overall academic success. Please note, report cards are visible digitally in MyCBE on February 2.

Lancer Athletics

Good luck to our Senior Boys and Senior Girls basketball teams as they travel to Red Deer this weekend to compete in the Lindsay Thurber tournament!

Badminton tryouts continue next week on the following dates:

  • Boys Tryout #2: Tues, Feb 3 at 7:00 AM
  • Girls Tryout #2: Wed, Feb 4 at 7:00 AM

Anyone who wants more information on our Pole Vault team should attend the interest meeting on Thurs, Feb 5 at lunch in the aux gym.

There will be a Spring Sports meeting for all students interested in Boys Soccer, Boys/Girls Rugby, Girls Field Hockey and Track & Field on Feb 18.

Girls Basketball Senior Night – come out and support our Sr Girls basketball team and our grade 12 athletes in their last regular season home game on Tues, Feb 3.  Senior night program will be before the game starts at 5:15 PM. Go Lancers!

Yearbook Deadline

February 20 is the LAST day to purchase the yearbook! There will be no extras for sale at school in June.  Place your order for the yearbook at jostensyearbooks.com or by calling 1-877-767-5217. This is one you won’t want to miss!

Advanced Placement Exams

If your child is writing an AP exam in May and has an IPP, they can apply for accommodations which they now use in a specific subject area. Please contact Mr. Brandt at dmbrandt@cbe.ab.ca to apply or to see if they are eligible. 

French Immersion Students DELF B2

DELF B2 sign up time has arrived! The exam will be held on Monday April 13.  Students have until Thursday March 5 to sign up.  Grade 12 students will have priority. Please see Ms. Laforest, Ms. Simard or M. Guyard for more details and to be added to the D2L shell.

Drama One Acts Festival Spring 2026

Playwriters:

Directors:

  • Plays will be chosen! Schedules will be set!
  • Will include a Director’s Crash Course

Actors:

  • Wednesday February 4 or Thursday February 5, 4:00-6:00 PM

Technicians / Designers:

  • Wednesday Feb 11, 4:00-6:00 PM
  • Tech Meeting
  • No previous experience required.
  • If you are interested in designing sets, costumes, props, lights or sound, or helping with promotions, come to this meeting. You can do tech AND act if you have the time.

Newcomer Students

The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth invites newcomer students to the Youth Multicultural Fair session on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM at Our Lady of The Rockies school.  The Fair will be open to all participants ages 5-30.
