Dear Parents & Guardians,

We are excited to share that before the holidays our leadership student’s initiative called “Helping Hampers” supported many families in our own community. In total, between all the streams of revenue (in-class donations, community donations, silent auction), WE HIT OUR GOAL AND RAISED OVER $6000! Thank you to all the students, families, community members and staff who helped improve the lives of students and their families right here at Scarlett! We appreciate each of you for your contribution and to our leadership students for their kindness and organization. Ms. Ehrmann our leadership teacher was instrumental in making things happen. Thank you!

Final Exam Schedule & Rules

  • Our Final Exam Schedule is posted on our school website 
  • In addition to Diploma Examinations for 30-level courses there are many scheduled Final Exams in Grade 10 and 11 classes
  • Please ensure your child is aware of the rules for Final Examinations. The rules were explained in the virtual assembly on Monday and can also be found on the Exam Planner Sheet we provided to students.

Credit Recovery/Course Completion Days

  • Friday, January 10 is the last day of regular Semester 1 classes
  • January 13 – 22 are Credit Recovery, Course Completion, and Exam Prep days
  • As we do not have regularly scheduled classes next week, attendance will not be taken in PowerSchool, but rather hard copies of attendance will be kept at the school
  • Students are encouraged to connect with their teachers regarding the specifics of each of their teacher’s availability times/locations and view D2L for more detailed information about tutorials

Textbook & Library Book Returns

Textbooks and learning materials for this semester are due on the day of the last Final Exam for that course, and they should be returned to be signed out in the foyer outside the cafeteria. Students should ensure that they return textbooks directly to our librarian or guidance secretary there – textbooks should not be dropped off or left unattended.

*Please note students are not permitted to sign out new books until their Semester 1 books have been returned

Busing During Exams

Please note that the designated express buses to Scarlett will not be available from Calgary Transit on January 22, 23, 24, and 27th. Designated busing will resume on the first day of Semester 2: Tuesday, January 28.

Lost and Found

There are a good number of small items that were turned into the main office. Please pop by the main office to view these items and claim them.

Online Report Card

Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students on Monday, Jan. 27 until May 30, 2025 through MyCBE.

On January 16 at 9:00 AM mark visibility will be turned off in PowerSchool to allow teachers the opportunity to finalize marks and enter comments. If you would like an update on your child/ren’s marks after January 16th, you can reach out directly to the teacher via email.
