STEM Fellowship – University of Calgary High School Research Internships
STEM Fellowship is a national, non-profit, student-run organization that uses mentorship and experiential learning to connect and empower young innovators interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
This program will take place over five days during the CBE spring break (March 25th – March 29th, 2024) and will enable students to engage in STEM activities including faculty presentations, lab tours, learning various modes of software, observing data collection, one-on-one time with researchers, and more. Students will be mentored by university professors and graduate students and will be involved in exploring the STEM field they are matched with throughout the week. Please note that there is no cost associated with participating in the program.
This year’s application, participating labs, applicant handbook, and 2023 testimonials can be found here.
Please note that it is imperative that all students read the 2024 Applicant Handbook in its entirety prior to beginning the application process.
Our program is open to all grade 11 and 12 students, but we particularly target students from communities traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. Our definition of underrepresented will be based on self-identification and may include indigenous, refugee or economically disadvantaged youth. Applications will close on January 12, 2024.
