Your CBE Email and Storage After Graduation or When Leaving the CBE
The CBE is reminding all students to save their files they wish to keep on a personal drive prior to June 25, 2025. It is especially important for students who are graduating or leaving the CBE to move all files over to personal storage because they will lose access to their CBE account after August 31, 2025, and their CBE email address and inbox will be deleted permanently.
Anyone who has applied to a post-secondary institution or scholarship with their CBE email address is encouraged to update their email contact information with the organization to which they have applied.
Athletic Update
Congratulations to all our Rugby teams on fantastic seasons! We really enjoyed watching you this season. Our teams competed with persistence, positivity and strong teamwork. Big thanks to Mr. Housley, Mr. McClure, and Mr. Kay for all their time and support for our teams! Thank you to our volunteer coaches who also came out to help our program!
The senior boys soccer team wrapped up their season last week. This group demonstrated hard work, positivity, and strong team spirit throughout the year. While the season did not unfold quite as we had hoped in terms of results, the team remained a competitive force, with many closely contested matches. Congratulations to Blake E., who will be representing Dr. E.P. Scarlett at the Selects game on June 9! Best of luck! Thank you to our teacher coach Ms. Malone!
We are incredibly proud of our Track & Field athletes’ participation in City Finals. We now have Provincials on June 6 & 7 at the Foothills Track. We are excited to report that we have nine athletes going from our school. Way to go Lancers!

Lancers Football - Spring Camp
Football season is just about here! Spring Camp this year will run from June 16 - June 20 (2:00pm-4:00pm each day). All players, returning and new, should attend. If there are any conflicts with exams, those come first, and players can join us on the field when they are able. If a player needs to be away for another reason, they should discuss it with me.
Equipment handout will take place on June 16 at 1:00pm prior to the first practice. If this conflicts with your exam, please let me know and we will find an alternative for you to receive gear. If you have any other questions, please let me know at spdonovan@cbe.ab.ca. I look forward to seeing everyone out there! Thanks, from Coach Shane Donovan.

June 2025 - Final Exams/Exam Conflicts
Students and families are reminded to review the final exam schedule carefully and identify any exam conflicts to the course teachers by May 30th. All exam documents can be found here. The process has changed this semester for exam conflicts. There is a form to fill out indicating there is an exam conflict and outlining a plan for an alternate exam date, the link to the form is here.
Students must discuss the conflict with their teachers before coming to the main office with their completed form. Having two exams scheduled on the same day at different times is not considered an exam conflict, though exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. An exam conflict is when a student is scheduled to write two exams at the same time. We will be accommodating exam conflicts throughout the exam period, with June 19th set aside as the final date for conflict exams to run. Please reach out to Ms. Costa with any questions or concerns.
