School Planning Engagement at School Council Meeting
On the evening of Monday, March 16 at the School Council meeting, we will be sharing information about school planning and gathering input from parents/ guardians. School Council starts at 6:30 PM. The principal will be engaging parents on school plans. Feedback from families helps inform decisions related to the school development plan, school budget and school fees. Feedback will be considered along with financial realities, student learning results and other relevant data.
Spirit Week is Coming!
March 16-19 students will have the opportunity to take part in some fun activities organized by our students from leadership class and in preparation for spring break.
From the16-19 there will be a Talent Show - Scarlett's Got Talent -at lunch in the main gym. We have 19 acts that will be performing throughout the 4 lunchtimes.
On Monday March 16 we will also be hosting a movie night starting at 6:00 PM. Tickets for movie night must be purchased in advance March 9-12 for $2 in the cafeteria at lunch. On Tuesday March 17 there will be over 100 "teacher leprechauns" hidden throughout the school, when students find one, they can bring it to the front office for a fun St. Patrick's theme prize!

- Wednesday, March 18 - "I had nowhere else to wear this..." day... find random clothing items at the back of your closet, that you don't often get a chance to wear.

Students who are dressed up can get a ballot entry in the front foyer from 8:30-8:55 AM for their chance to WIN A FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI POLAROID CAMERA!!!
Sugar Shack
On Thursday afternoon April 9, all French immersion classes will be participating in a culture event La Cabane à Sucre. They will be able to enjoy a complementary bâton de tire d’érable (maple taffy) to the sound of traditional Cabane à Sucre music with their classmates.
Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Conferences are coming up. They will be held in person on Thursday, March 19 (5-7:30 PM) and online Friday, March 20 (9:00 AM-1:00 PM). Conference sign-up will be released to families on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:00 AM and will close on Tuesday, March 17 at 6 PM.
Honour Roll
The Honour Roll for Semester 1 is now posted in the display case outside the main office. Students on the Honour Roll who would like to have a print copy of their certificate must make the request in person with Ms. Kinas in the main office on or prior to March 19. Printed certificates will be available, when announced, by approximately April 6. If you have questions about the Honour Roll, please email Assistant Principal Jason Wutzke: jbwutzke@cbe.ab.ca.
Athletic Update
Our Wrestling team has wrapped up their season and finished in third place at the City Championship! We are truly appreciative of our amazing coaches Mr. Gaston Tardif and Ms. Helen Domstad and community volunteer coach, Ben Smith. We are very fortunate for your excellent leadership with our team. This is the 2nd year we have offered wrestling based out of our school, and we have seen a real surge in numbers. We can’t wait to see what happens next year! A huge congratulations to all of our athletes for an amazing season!
Thank you to all the wrestlers representing Scarlett and Calgary at Provincials this weekend in Medicine Hat: Leighton F, Oscar H, Emmanuel I, Riley L, Euguene P, Vaughn R and Anvi R. Go Lancers! We are excited to share that we have two gold champions Riley L and Leighton F – congratulations! Oscar H. also came in 2nd. Those are some amazing results!
Any students that will be participating on the Track & Field team this year need to hand in their form package to the main office ASAP.

Unique Pathways -CBE collaborates with post-secondary institutions, industry partners, and community organizations to offer a wide range of unique opportunities for students. Practical, hands-on Exploratory programs and Dual Credit courses allow students to participate in post-secondary learning with the support of a supervising CBE teacher. Power of Voice (POV) is one of Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth's signature annual events. A free conference for immigrant and refugee youth—entertainment, guest speakers, prizes, free swag and lunch included on March 21, 2026 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Central library.
