Last weekend our wrestlers competed at provincials. Yusef K, (Grade 10) got silver and Riana DN (Grade 12) got bronze at the ASAA Provincials in wrestling. Way to go! Our Robotics Club is competing this weekend in Red Deer for a Provincial event. Go Lancers!

Scarlett Robotics
Scarlett Robotics Team) 20718 is competing in the provincial FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) Championship this weekend in Red Deer, after qualifying in an earlier tournament at Nelson Mandela High School. Twenty-five teams from across Alberta will be at this event. Good Luck, team!

50 Years of French Immersion

Grade 12s – Graduation 2024
Any Grade 12 student interested in trying out for Class Valedictorian or Class Historian, please attend an important meeting Tuesday, March 19 at 11:55 am in Room 108. All information about these speeches will be given at this meeting.
Voting for Honorary Class President will begin Monday, March 18 at 9 am and end Tuesday, March 19 at 12 noon. All Grade 12 students should go to the Grad 2024 D2L shell for more information and to place your vote.
Textbooks, Novels & Loaned Items
Items loaned to students, i.e. textbooks, novels and graphing calculators, for first semester classes were due after students had completed their exams in January, 2024. We currently have over $20,000 in items that have not been returned to the school. MyCBE fee accounts were charged for those overdue items on February 14, 2024. Parents and guardians, please log into your PowerSchool account to ensure your student has returned their items to the school. If the items you have been invoiced for have been lost or damaged, please make your payment in PowerSchool. Queries can be sent to our Business Manager, Kerri Popp at kedpopp@cbe.ab.ca.
School Fees
Second semester school fees, including the Grad Ceremony fee, were added to student PowerSchool accounts in January, 2024. Please log in to your parent PowerSchool account to make your payment online. If you do not yet have a Parent Account please create one with this link https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/home.html#create-parent-account. If you require assistance creating an account, logging in, or have questions or concerns regarding fees, you can contact our Business Manager, Kerri Popp at kedpopp@cbe.ab.ca. Please ensure you include your student’s first and last name and student ID in your correspondence.
Business Office Closure
The school Business Office will be closed from March 20 to April 1, 2024 and will reopen on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. If you have an urgent matter on March 20, 21 and 22nd, please call the main office for assistance.
Healthy Hunger
This is an optional service for families and the decision to participate is up to each family. We have not reviewed the health standards at each restaurant so we encourage families to make an informed choice.
