Lancers Football - Spring Camp
Football season is just about here! Spring Camp this year will run from June 16 - June 20 (2:00pm-4:00pm each day). All players, returning and new, should attend. If there are any conflicts with exams, those come first, and players can join us on the field when they are able. If a player needs to be away for another reason, they should discuss it with me.
Equipment handout will take place on June 16 at 1:00pm prior to the first practice. If this conflicts with your exam, please let me know and we will find an alternative for you to receive gear. If you have any other questions, please let me know at spdonovan@cbe.ab.ca. I look forward to seeing everyone out there! Thanks from Coach Shane Donovan.
Closing Exercises and Banquet
All banquet and dance tickets have been emailed to the point of contact for each group (the person who purchased the tickets or to the person who submitted the table request form if one was submitted) and should be forwarded to all members of the party.
A printed version of the email confirmation (with your table number) AND a printed ticket is required for each banquet/dance attendee to enter the BMO Centre.
Banquet Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
The BMO prepares a highly inclusive buffet meal to accommodate many dietary restrictions and preferences. If you indicated that you may require a special plate due to severe allergies when you purchased a ticket, you will find a yellow card labelled, ‘Allergy Plate,’ along with a strip of paper indicating food that you can/cannot consume. Please present both the card and instructions at the allergy station near the buffet to receive your specifically-prepared meal. If you have a dietary restriction and do not have an allergy card at your table, that means there are options for you at the buffet.
Closing Exercises Tickets
All students received 3 free tickets for the Closing Exercises at the Jack Simpson Gym at the U of C. Grads do not need a ticket. Additional tickets will be sold for $1/each in the Caf. Foyer at lunch on Monday, May 26. Cash only.
Grad Gowns and V Stolls
Any gowns not picked up are now in the business office. Please pick up by end of Monday at the latest. If you have any issues with sizing, there are limited options, but please email Mrs. Kramer at rakramer@cbe.ab.ca . Do NOT wash and try to keep clean – these are dry clean only. Caps and tassels are mementos that you will keep, but gowns and v stolls are returned right after closing exercises.

June 2025 - Final Exams/Exam Conflicts
Students and families are reminded to review the final exam schedule carefully and identify any exam conflicts to the course teachers by May 30. All exam documents can be found here. The process has changed this semester for exam conflicts. There is a form to fill out indicating there is an exam conflict and outlining a plan for an alternate exam date, the link to the form is here.
Students must discuss the conflict with their teachers before coming to the main office with their completed form. Having two exams scheduled on the same day at different times is not considered an exam conflict, though exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. An exam conflict is when a student is scheduled to write two exams at the same time. We will be accommodating exam conflicts throughout the exam period, with June 19 set aside as the final date for conflict exams to run. Please reach out to Ms. Costa with any questions or concerns.
