Athletic Update

Our Track & Field athletes had their first meets this week and represented Scarlett with pride! They will take to the track again on Wednesday and Thursday in some early season competition. The CSHSAA Divisional track meet will take place on May 14 @ Foothills Track!

A big thanks to our track & field coaches who are leading the way for our 80+ athletes!

Congratulations to our Badminton athletes who represented EPS this weekend in Red Deer at the 4A ASAA Badminton Provincial Championships!

Graduation Committee Update

2025 Valedictorian

It is our great pleasure to announce the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025: Catarina Bell!

The Teacher Grad Committee thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all of the fantastic submissions and would like to recognize the time, effort, and passion shown by every student who applied. We are proud of the outstanding character, achievements, and dedication demonstrated by this year’s graduating class.

Please join us in congratulating Catarina on this well-deserved honor! We look forward to celebrating all of our graduates and their accomplishments at the upcoming closing exercises.

Banquet Seating and Tickets

  • Table assignments will be emailed next week along with banquet tickets.
  • This email will be sent to the person who purchased the tickets or to the person who submitted the table request form if one was submitted.
  • A printed version of the email AND a printed ticket is required for each banquet attendee to enter the BMO Centre.

Closing Exercises and Rehearsal

There will be a mandatory rehearsal in the Main Gym at 3 pm on Tuesday, May 20. All students must attend. After the rehearsal, students will receive their cap and gown. Receiving your cap and gown early gives students and families the opportunity to take photos before the big day as they must be returned to the rental company immediately following the Closing Exercises.

Grad Committee Meetings

We have three remaining lunch meetings; they are all mandatory.  Those members who have signed up for speeches should bring a version to the next meeting on Thursday, May 8.

AP Exams

Advanced Placement exams are happening at Scarlett from May 5 – 16. Students writing exams have been emailed a copy of the schedule and important exam information. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Rip [slrip@cbe.ab.ca] or your AP teacher.
