Thank you to our coaches Ms. Malone and Ms. Doerkson for soccer and Mr. McMahon for football. Thanks also for a great season of course to our players and also the trainers, lines people and our parents for your support. What a week for Scarlett and the Lancers!

After fall break, we will head back to school on Wednesday, November 15. This is a new initiative from the Calgary Board of Education with all schools having a break at this time. Please note that all of our weekly emails are posted on our school web page if you want to see past news.

Student Leadership News

Socktober raised nearly 400 socks which will all be donated to the Calgary Drop-In Center next week. Way to go Lancers and thank you Leadership for running this great initiative.

The haunted house was a huge success and was lined up down the hallway for 4 straight days. For Scarlett’s first haunted house, starting from scratch, the J Block Leadership class did an incredible job putting it all together. Thank you to period 3 drama students and the many teachers who pitched in, for giving their time to give us all a good scare! In addition to the haunted house, our annual costume contest was a huge hit, drawing a large crowd and showcasing some incredible costumes. Well done!

Leadership is selling cookie dough, muffin batter, cinnamon buns and perogies to help support all of these great initiatives in our building. Without this fundraiser, these events are not possible. If you are interested in purchasing some tasty treats for a great cause, please email Ms. Ehrmann, mrehrmann@cbe.ab.ca, no later than November 17th. Thank you for all of your support!
