On instagram we have a school account with all the latest news. Follow us @epslancers.

Exam Schedule

Our exam schedule is out and ready. It is linked here Exam Schedule. Administration will be reviewing exam protocols with students on Friday, December 15. Should your child have a conflict within the exam schedule, please have them make an appointment with Ms Malayko to explore solutions.

Music Update

Congratulations to our Choir and Grade 10 Band on an incredibly successful time out at Camp Kindle this week. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to take part in a number of outdoor pursuits in addition to all the musical adventures and rehearsals.

Jazz Band: All Jazz students spent their “day off” on Friday digging into the music and expanding their knowledge and skill sets over at MRU on Friday. A huge thank you to John Roggensack and MRU for making this a reality. Speaking of MRU, our second of three CADME All Ages Jams will take place this coming Friday, Dec 1 (7:00 – 9:00 PM) at their Nickle Theatre.

Shout out to Mori B and Maura L who were part of a select 12-student ensemble that worked with JazzDanmark’s Jazz Camp for Girls workshop this weekend. It is the first time this Danish organization has traveled to Canada, and we are very proud to have had Scarlett represented at this amazing event.

As mentioned, all of our students are working diligently in preparation for out Winter Celebration Concert scheduled for December 6 at the gorgeous Bella Concert Hall. Thanks in advance for your support of this event. Tickets are now live, and available through their website: https://tickets.mru.ca/Scarlett

Quoi de neuf en immersion? / What's new in French Immersion?

Merci! L’équipe d'immersion française

2022-2023 Semester 2 Honours and Honours with Distinction

This week, we will be printing Honours certificates, only for students who requested with the main office, for Semester 2 of the 2022-2023 school year. Students who have not made a request should do so on Monday. We have posted revised lists based on necessary corrections in the display case by the main office.

Leadership News

Helping Hampers is starting November 27 and will run until December 11. Students can donate in their period 1 classes, with all proceeds going directly to helping families in need in our school community over the holiday season. Each family will receive a sizable hamper of supplies and essentials. For every $2 donated, students will receive a ballot and be entered into a draw for a ton of fun prizes! Win a La-Z-Boy recliner to follow you around from class to class! Pizza lunch for you and your friends! “Own the Gym” - get the gym for one lunch hour for you and your friends! Amazon gift cards! Strip mall by our school gift cards! Lancer swag and more! Let’s rally together and do great things to help families in need in our school.

Touch of Class will be taking place on Thursday November 30. Students and staff are encouraged to “dress their best” and attend the lunch event in the cafeteria. The cafeteria will be nicely decorated, with live music, and the option of purchasing a decadent dessert and Scarlett spritzer beverage for $4. Keep it classy, Scarlett!
