We have been updating our website. The calendar will let you print major events for the year along with updates to our staff contact emails. Please see this link to visit our website, which we plan to update regularly: https://school.cbe.ab.ca/school/DrEPScarlett/Pages/default.aspx

All weekly messages will be posted to the website so you can go back through older ones if needed.

Math Help Room

The math help room is open from 8 am until class starts and runs Monday through Thursday in room 274. It is an informal drop in, please feel free to come in anytime and ask questions. Some students also choose to use it to work on math homework and assignments, then if they need assistance, there are teachers right there willing to help.

Assembly on Student Expectations at Scarlett

We had a number of assemblies in the opening days to welcome students in a positive manner and also set expectations. The in-person assembly had one highlight from it on twitter – go to @EPSLancers and know we use hashtag #WeAreEPS.

The more extensive virtual assembly we had with all students in their classrooms was recorded and we wanted to share it with our families. See the link sent out by email.

The agenda included: Acknowledgement of the Land; Expectations for a Welcoming, Caring and Safe School; Attendance and Late polices; Friday School; Use of Spares; Consequences of Vaping; and Teaching Digital Citizenship and Use of Social Media.

Scholarship D2L

The Scholarship/Post Secondary D2L course is now visible to students. If you are not able to access this course please send Ms. Nish an email (junishimura@cbe.ab.ca) with your ID# and you will be enrolled. Remember to pin it to the top and check back regularly for new scholarship opportunities.

There will be a scholarship meeting in the Learning Commons on October 4 at lunch time for students. Please bring your questions to this meeting. That same evening from 5:30 – 6:30 we will be holding an informational scholarship meeting for parents also in the Learning Commons. Everyone is welcome.

Meet the Teacher

Please see the information under Resources for our upcoming Meet The Teacher evening on Thursday, September 21. Please be sure to bring a copy or screenshot of your child's timetable so you can participate in the mini timetable rotation.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday.
